Established in 1932, Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is a natural attraction offering year-round seasonal outdoor adventures for all ages. A tourism award-winning travel experience, it is both a Canadian Signature Experience and an Ontario Signature Experience, designated by the Canadian Tourism Commission.
Between May and October, activities include: self-guided trail of caves/caverns and a glimpse into the history and legends of the First Nation’s Huron Petun tribe, Southern Ontario’s longest 420ft. Suspension Footbridge, spectacular views of Georgian Bay at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment set in a UNESCO biosphere reserve, guided Eco Adventure Tour offering treetop canopy walking and zip lining, Canada’s longest half-mile Thunderbird Twin Zip Line, Rocky the train, Children’s Adventure Playground, gemstone mining, mini-golf, trout pond, picnic areas, snack bar and gift shop.
Between December and March, the Nordic Centre offers 27 km. of professionally groomed cross-country skiing (skate and classic styles) and 10 km. of snowshoe trails, one of which cross the suspension bridge. Winter amenities include: equipment rentals, waxing facilities, warm up chalet, snack bar, cross-country ski lessons and guided night snowshoe hikes.
Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is located in the Town of the Blue Mountains , at the top of Scenic Caves Road . This winding, picturesque route climbs the Niagara Escarpment just minutes from the town of Collingwood and the Village at Blue Mountain . It's about 20 minutes from Wasaga Beach , and less than two hours north of Toronto.
